Among the 3 recognized variants of primary progressive aphasia (PPA), the logopenic phenotype (lvPPA) is the one with the most recent clinical definition,1 and unlike the other 2 variants, it is more frequently associated with Alzheimer disease (AD) pathology.2 Language impairment in lvPPA cases reflects deficits in single-word retrieval (due to impaired lexical access) and repetition of sentences and phrases (due to poor phonemic discrimination and limited verbal working memory).1
