Neurology: Genetics is an official journal of the American Academy of Neurology and will be the premier peer-reviewed journal in the field of neurogenetics.
Neurology: Genetics will provide neurologists and clinical research scientists with outstanding peer-reviewed articles, editorials, and reviews to elucidate the role of genetic and epigenetic variations in diseases and biological traits of the central and peripheral nervous systems.
Neurology: Genetics is an online open-access journal publishing peer-reviewed reports in the field of neurogenetics. The journal publishes original articles in all areas of neurogenetics including rare and common genetic variations, genotype-phenotype correlations, outlier phenotypes as a result of mutations in known disease genes, and genetic variations with a putative link to diseases. Articles include studies reporting on genetic disease risk, pharmacogenomics, and results of gene-based clinical trials (viral, ASO, etc.). Genetically engineered model systems are not a primary focus of Neurology: Genetics, but studies using model systems for treatment trials, including well-powered studies reporting negative results, are welcome.
NEW IMPACT FACTOR: The Neurology: Genetics 2019 Impact Factor is 3.509 (2019 Journal Citation Reports® [Clarivate Analytics, 2020]).
Neurology: Genetics is indexed in PMC, Scopus, EMBASE, Google Scholar, DOAJ, CrossRef, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Web of Science®, and Current Contents®/Clinical Medicine.
