Retinal abnormalities are frequently described in patients with facioscapulohumeral dystrophy. More information on the prevalence, aetiology and severity could improve our understanding of the pathophysiology of FSHD and improve clinical care. We tested the vision and the retina of 26 patients with early onset FSHD (age 8–68 years). Retinal images were collected by digital fundoscopy and optical coherence tomography angiography. We will present data on the prevalence and severity of retinal abnormalities in relation to the visual capacity, muscle weakness and other systemic features in FSHD.
