We were interested to read the article by Kong et al that was published in the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases in June 2017.1 The authors aimed to assess the validity of the serial Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) in predicting unfavorable outcomes in thrombolyzed stroke patients. The results have demonstrated that 24-hour ASPECTS on computed tomography and change in ASPECTS (between the baseline and 24-hour computed tomography) can predict accurately functional outcome in the patients.
