  • Differences in symptom duration and return to sport following sport-related concussion between French-speaking Canadian and European athletes
CONCLUSION: SRC recovery times differ significantly by geography and sex in French-speaking athletes. European athletes and males report shorter symptom and RTS durations.
  • Using Cervical Spine Proprioception and Vestibular/Oculomotor Assessments to Identify Return-to-Play Clearance Prognosis After Adolescent Concussion
CONCLUSIONS: Cervical spine proprioception and vestibular/oculomotor symptom provocation evaluated within 3 weeks of injury were not associated with RTP clearance time, potentially reflecting the complexity and multifaceted nature of RTP decisions.
  • Neurocognitive Outcome After Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury: Patient Subgroups With Diverging Outcome
CONCLUSIONS: This study indicates that children with mild to severe TBI exhibit neurocognitive deficits at 6 months post-TBI, among which subgroups of children with distinct neurocognitive outcome profiles exist. The neurocognitive outcome subgroups represent children with diverging severity and configuration of neurocognitive weaknesses. Clinical characteristics were not related to the outcome subgroups, highlighting the importance […]
  • A cross sectional study of post-concussion symptoms following mild traumatic brain injury in an Asian population: Influence of negative mental states and somatic features
CONCLUSION: The findings highlight negative mental states and cultural differences in the manifestation of post-concussion symptoms that should inform both clinical assessment and intervention for persistent PCS.
