  • Autologous bone marrow mononuclear cell administration for neurological sequelae after traumatic brain injury: a matched control study
Neurological sequelae after traumatic brain injury impair motor and behavioural functions, imposing a heavy burden on patients and society. Traditional treatments show limited efficacy, highlighting the need for advanced therapies. This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of intrathecal administration of bone marrow mononuclear cells for treating these sequelae. A matched control clinical trial was […]
  • Concussion Classification in a Multicenter Patient Cohort: The Updated ACRM Diagnostic Criteria and Concordance With Physician Impression of Injury

  • Elastin-like polypeptide delivery of an NF-kB inhibitor for treatment of juvenile mild TBI complicated by high-fat diet consumption
Juveniles are at increased risk for mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) due to recreational activities, domestic violence, and vulnerabilities of the developing skull. In industrialized nations, adolescents often consume high-sugar, high-fat diets (HFD), which can impair CNS health and exacerbate mTBI outcomes. Secondary injury following mTBI is characterized by prolonged neuroinflammation, with nuclear factor kappa […]
  • Exercise-induced molecular modulation following mTBI: A multi-omics study in male mice
Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) poses a significant clinical challenge, often resulting in persistent cognitive and neurological impairments. This study investigates the therapeutic effects of a 17-day running protocol on mTBI recovery in male mice. Using a weight-drop mTBI model, proteomics and RNA-sequencing analyses were conducted at acute (19 days post-injury) and chronic (47 days […]
