  • Chronic dynamic behavioral changes and upregulation of glutamatergic signaling proteins following traumatic brain injury in females
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a leading cause of disability worldwide, with approximately 50 % of individuals with mild TBI experiencing persistent, debilitating symptoms. Clinical findings have demonstrated that females are more likely than males to develop chronic symptoms and tend to report greater symptom severity. • Paediatric traumatic brain injury: clinical presentation, treatment approaches, management strategies, and outcomes. Insights from the CENTER-TBI study
CONCLUSIONS: Paediatric TBI differs significantly from non-paediatric cases, with predominantly mild injuries, lower neuroworsening rates, and less intensive management, especially in younger children. Outcomes at six months are generally more favorable in paediatric patients, emphasizing the need for age-specific management strategies in TBI care.
