  • Long-term Efficacy of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Motor Cortex for Mild Traumatic Brain Injury-Related Headaches
CONCLUSIONS: In short, ten sessions of rTMS at the left MC can effectively reduce headache symptoms and interferences of concentration and daily activities. The treatment also can improve concentration and relieve some aspects of cognitive impairment associated with MTBI-HA although the treatment may cause a mild degree of transient short-term persistent headache exacerbation without ongoing […]

  • Brain-derived exosomes from aged mice accelerate cognitive decline in repeated mild traumatic brain injury by activating neuronal Tnfrsf25
Aging increases vulnerability to cognitive decline after repetitive mild traumatic brain injury (rm-TBI), yet mechanisms linking age-related factors to neurodegeneration remain poorly understood. This study investigated how brain-derived exosomes from aged mice (A-Exo) worsen rm-TBI outcomes. In a murine rm-TBI model, intranasal A-Exo administration significantly exacerbated spatial memory deficits and hippocampal neuronal apoptosis compared to […]
  • Incidence, severity and burden of injury and illness at the men's, women's and wheelchair Rugby League World Cup 2021
CONCLUSIONS: Injury incidence was highest in women, whereas the highest severity was found in men. Concussion incidence was highest in women. The match injury incidence at the RLWC was similar to domestic elite rugby league. Different factors, such as variations in physical characteristics, rule differences, and travel could have contributed to injury and illness observations.
  • The protocol for a randomized, sham-controlled trial of transcutaneous auricular neurostimulation for chronic pain and opioid withdrawal symptoms during a 4-day opioid taper for adults in the United States
BACKGROUND: Reducing opioid use is challenging due to limited evidence-based weaning methods and a lack of interventions to mitigate withdrawal symptoms. An emerging intervention using transcutaneous auricular neurostimulation (tAN) is being developed to reduce opioid withdrawal symptoms, but its mechanisms of action are not yet well understood. This is a clinical trial performed to investigate […]
