    BACKGROUND: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality. It is important to have an effective treatment that can improve the quality of life and cognitive functions of these patients. Betaxolol, a selective beta-1 beta-blocker, may be effective in improving the symptoms of mild to moderate TBI.
